I mentioned in my first post that I would share everything that makes Christmas great, including “Christmas music”. I’m a huge fan of Christmas music, and I recently came across a site I have never seen before called Christmas Songs. If you love Christmas music as much as I do, you’re also going to love that site. I spent some time on the Christmas music quizzes which I really loved, but also read a little on the site about different songs. I honestly had no idea about the history of some songs, and I’m pretty sure very few people do. So check it out if you’re into Christmas music…it will make you wish it was already December!

Long Time, No Post

Wow, I almost forgot I even still had this blog! It’s kind of difficult to post about Christmas when there’s nothing new really going on…in April! But I thought I’d just pop in and say hello so anyone visiting wouldn’t think I had given up on this blog. I’ll be sure to start updating it more as we get closer to the Christmas season!

New Christmas Tree!

Hunter Christmas Tree

I just got my new Christmas tree today from Santa’s Quarters (after realizing the company that made my blog template also sells artificial Christmas trees!), and I LOVE it. The picture above is the tree I got…a 7.5′ Hunter with LED lights. I considered buying a tree I saw at Home Depot, but thought I’d like this one more. After receiving it I know I definitely made the right decision. For anyone reading this blog, I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much. I thought I would post a lot more, but I’ve been so busy getting ready for Christmas and shopping that I haven’t had much time. I hope to start doing more posts soon!

Top Christmas Movies

Do you love watching Christmas movies? I sure do. Although I can watch them at any time of the year, when it starts getting colder I’m more and more in the mood for them. Mike is not sure if this is normal, and wonders if it’s too soon. I think not! As soon as the weather turns it’s time for Christmas movies and egg nog! I found a new list of the Greatest Christmas Movies at ChristmasGifts.net, and while I do agree that those are great movies, they’re definitely missing out on Christmas Vacation! That’s got to be on anyone’s top Christmas movies list. What are your favorite Christmas movies?

Christmas Decorations

Well, I went into my attic today and pulled out all of my Christmas decorations to look at. I know it’s early, but as you can see by my starting this blog, I’m somewhat of a Christmas fanatic! Looking at all my ornaments, garlands, and Christmas figures made me want to just skip Halloween and Thanksgiving and move straight on to Christmas! How about you? Do you like Christmas more than Halloween or Thanksgiving?

I thought I’d start off by posting some of my favorite Christmas sites here, to help get you into the Christmas spirit! Christmasology is a great site with Christmas quizzes and information. Jinglebell Junction is another great site, not only with information about Christmas traditions, but also lots of fun free stuff! On the subject of free stuff, here’s a great site for free Christmas coloring pages.

For Christmas forums, check out ClausNET and MyMerryChristmas. And for a new site on the Christmas trees I recently came across, check out Christmas Tree History. Not enough yet?
