I just got my new Christmas tree today from Santa’s Quarters (after realizing the company that made my blog template also sells artificial Christmas trees!), and I LOVE it.  The picture above is the tree I got…a 7.5′ Hunter with LED lights.  I considered buying a tree I saw at Home Depot, but thought I’d like this one more.  After receiving it I know I definitely made the right decision.  For anyone reading this blog, I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much.  I thought I would post a lot more, but I’ve been so busy getting ready for Christmas and shopping that I haven’t had much time.  I hope to start doing more posts soon!

Do you love watching Christmas movies?  I sure do.  Although I can watch them at any time of the year, when it starts getting colder I’m more and more in the mood for them.  Mike is not sure if this is normal, and wonders if it’s too soon.  I think not!  As soon as the weather turns it’s time for Christmas movies and egg nog!  I found a new list of the Greatest Christmas Movies at ChristmasGifts.net, and while I do agree that those are great movies, they’re definitely missing out on Christmas Vacation!  That’s got to be on anyone’s top Christmas movies list.  What are your favorite Christmas movies?

Well, I went into my attic today and pulled out all of my Christmas decorations to look at.  I know it’s early, but as you can see by my starting this blog, I’m somewhat of a Christmas fanatic!  Looking at all my ornaments, garlands, and Christmas figures made me want to just skip Halloween and Thanksgiving and move straight on to Christmas!  How about you?  Do you like Christmas more than Halloween or Thanksgiving?

From time to time I come across interesting Christmas blog posts I’d like to share, so I’m going to start a category on “Christmas Blogging”.  Today I found this post about a great new Christmas book.  There’s also a blog for the book, The Great Christmas Bowl.  It sounds like a must read especially for parents.  Check it out!

I thought I’d start off by posting some of my favorite Christmas sites here, to help get you into the Christmas spirit!  Christmasology is a great site with Christmas quizzes and information.  Jinglebell Junction is another great site, not only with information about Christmas traditions, but also lots of fun free stuff!  On the subject of free stuff, here’s a great site for free Christmas coloring pages.
